Usher Hosts a Praised Super Bowl Halftime Show Then Gets Married

Usher married his long-term partner Jenn Goicoechea in Las Vegas just hours after his headline appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show. It is believed that the officiant who wed the pair is known to dress as an Elvis Presley impersonator. The R&B superstar’s life just went trending.

"Listen, when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course it is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who you are," he said in an interview. "We have an amazing dynamic between our relationship where I'm able to be passionate still about what I do and have an incredible partner to work through some of the harder times as a young man dealing with children."

A representative for Usher, Lydia Kanuga, provided a statement on Tuesday, confirming the marriage. “Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” it read. “They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.” While many would assume that this will just be another one of Usher’s many marriages, we believe the pair has been going strong with two children and has a long way to go.

Usher’s Past Relationships

Usher and Jenn have been together since 2019 and have two young daughters together. Their marriage document revealed that they paid a $102 filing fee and that Usher had been married before. It also revealed that Jenn had not been married before. Usher is her first and only.

Back in 2009, Usher divorced his first wife, Tameka Foster, and won custody of his 2 sons. He then got married again to his former manager, Grace Miguel, but ended up filing for divorce in 2018. Grace was his former manager, and the two didn’t have any kids together – though they wished.

Usher’s Super Bowl Performance

Like every Super Bowl performance, Usher’s was no different. The stage presence was mind-blowing, and the performance was jaw-dropping. The performance included guest appearances by A-list celebrities such as Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, and Ludacris. The Kansas City Chiefs won the NFL championship game in overtime, 25-22, over the San Francisco 49ers.

Where is Usher Today?

Usher may have been in the spotlight for quite a while, but that hasn’t dulled his shine. The superstar recently ended a two-year Las Vegas Strip residency where he performed Usher: My Way at the Park MGM. He also just released his first solo album in eight years, which had fans go crazy buying it. Looking ahead, Usher is scheduled to kick off a 24-city US tour in August.
