The hit action-thriller series ‘The Night Agent’ which premiered on Netflix last March 2023 was a big-time hit to viewers all over the world. With a narrative that is sure to keep viewers glued on their screens paired with perfect writing and acting performances that’s certainly a contender for one of the year’s finest so far — it’s no wonder that the show quickly made it to the top as one of the most viewed and in-demand shows of the year as of date.
In just three weeks since its release, The Night Agent quickly soared above the rankings to become one of the most-viewed shows on the streaming platform so far. Specifically, The Night Agent was able to make it into the Most Popular list of Netflix which includes at least ten of the hottest flicks and shows on Netflix at a particular point in time.
The fact that The Night Agent was able to join this list in just less than a month makes it one of the most in-demand shows to come out this year. And that alone is a feat that will forever be remembered in the show’s legacy.
With a combined total of 515.57 million viewing hours as of April 2023, which then translates to a grand total of 62 million views so far since the number was last documented, The Night Agent is definitely a blockbuster in the making and one that will be remembered by fans for a long time — even if the first wave of the initial hype will eventually die down.
Starring Gabriel Basso, The Night Agent revolves around FBI agent Peter Sutherland and his quest against a conspiracy involving a mole in the highest ranks of the United States government.
Thanks to the massive global success of The Night Agent, the show set even more records and accomplishments during its quick catapult to success by being renewed for a second season in just six days since its release to the public.
The show’s creator Shawn Ryan shared the good news, he wrote, “To see the tremendous reaction to the show has been a great joy and is a credit to our cast, our writers, our directors, our crew, and our partners at Sony Pictures Television and Netflix. We couldn't be any prouder or more excited to get cracking on Season 2 to share the further adventures of Night Action with our newfound fans.”
